Audio live streaming

Play audio live streams with Flowplayer

standalone demo

This example shows how to set up an audio live stream deployed via RTMP. Make Flowplayer your web radio! And by calling our iPad plugin and adding the HTTP version of the stream as ipadUrl it's even available on iOS.

The live streams are provided courtesy of antenne.de.

HTML

Below is the player container. As we deliver only audio content the container accomodates just the controlbar with an increased hight.

<!-- set up player container with background color -->
<div id="audio" style="display:block;width:350px;height:50px;background-color:#12699f;"></div>

HTML

Configuration

We slightly increase the failOverDelay property of the rtmp plugin from its default value of 250 to 4000 milliseconds to be prepared for heavy server load as this stream is deployed by a popular radio station.

Note how we replicate the controlbar colorization in the canvas to meet with a possible longer loading time.

// install flowplayer into container
$f("audio", {
// 2nd argument: Flash configuration
src: "http://releases.flowplayer.org/swf/flowplayer-3.2.18.swf",

// give the Flash object a background color
// visible while player loads
bgcolor: "#12699f"
}, {
// 3rd argument: player configuration
